Babou Maramureș Hostel and Camping * (Breb)

The camping and the hostel are managed by a couple from the Netherlands who moved here in 2011. The hostel and the camping toilets are arranged in a traditional renovated barn and the camping is arranged behind the small wooden house where the couple lives. The campsite area has hammocks, special areas for campfire, hook-up points with electricity and, last but not least, generous views of the surrounding mountains. From Babou you can see the everyday life of the villagers, you can go hiking through the neighboring villages and in the mountains, or you can rest in the hammock, enjoying peace and nature. The last 900 meters toward the camping are done on a narrow and unpaved road – inaccessible to large caravans. Small cars and caravans up to 6 meters long can nevertheless reach the destination.
