DESCRIPTION

Maramu Pension is waiting for you in Breb village, offering truly spectacular scenery, in a wonderful valley, at the foot of the Gutâi mountain. It is found far from the national road, allowing you to roam freely through the village or the surrounding area, discovering the nature, the fresh air and the idyllic atmosphere of Breb.

Guests are welcomed in 8 rooms, located in 2 buildings. The experience of spending the night in a traditional and authentic Maramures house is invaluable! Therefore you are welcome in the old, traditional wooden house with 4 rooms, each room traditionally decorated, with its own bathroom.

“Casa Nouă” is a newly built building and has 4 rooms, decorated in a traditional style, all with private bathrooms, cable TV and wi-fi internet. A total of 18 guests can be accommodated in double or triple rooms. The property has a very spacious yard, a perfect place to enjoy your time in Maramureș and to allow your children to play freely (at the playground) or in the company of pets, which they will definitely adore. You can join the dancing when the hosts organize art performances with the “Coconii din Breb” or other popular artists from the village. There are several gazebos, where you can dine with your family or friends.

The stay at Maramu Pension would not be complete without enjoying the traditional dishes, appreciated as being very tasty, prepared using mainly local ingredients. You also have access to the two barbecue grills in the courtyard to demonstrate your cooking skills. A walk through the village will give you the opportunity to admire the traditional gates, socialize with the locals or visit the craftsmen of our village or you can rent bicycles to explore the area on the marked cycling routes. The hosts can arrange horse-drawn sleigh rides in the winter or horse-cart rides through the village and surroundings. The tourist objectives from the ecotourism destination “Eco Maramureș” are easily accessible. Thus, you can visit the wooden churches in Budesti and Desești, both UNESCO monuments, the village of Sârbi where you can discover the traditions and working methods of the locals that you only see at the Village Museums or you can start hiking towards the Rooster Ridge. You can easily reach tourist attractions in the larger area of historic Maramureș: Sighetu Marmației, Bârsana Monastery, Săpânța Peri Monastery, Mocănița in Viseu de Sus.
