Choose guesthouses and local guides from this website or those displaying the ecotourism destination logo. The logo is the "certificate" awarded to operators who practise quality tourism with a positive impact on nature and the local community.

Donate to conserve the natural heritage. The Conservation Fund covers needs of protected natural areas not covered by existing financial resources and contributes to improving tourist infrastructure.
3. Purchase
Buy the Eco Maramureș destination map, using the link below. It is a useful tool for orientation in the area and a good source of information on protected areas. Sales proceeds go to the Conservation Fund.

The Conservation Fund is managed by the destination's Management Unit, hosted by the EcoLogic Association, with technical support from WWF (on conservation) and AER (on ecotourism). The fund is administered according to the principles of transparency and non-discrimination, following a clear set of procedures that ensure the money raised is managed properly.
